WHEN: Each Saturday, from mi April to late October. From early morning, rain or shine this well renowned Salt Spring Farmers market is not to be missed
WHERE: Oceanside at Centennial Park in the heart of Ganges on Salt Spring Island.
WHY: Browse internationally acclaimed arts and crafts from world class potters, jewellers, fibre artists, woodworkers, fine artists & photographers. Enjoy a wide array of body care products, clothing, accessories and more. Enjoy live music and entertainment. And of course check out what started the market all those years ago - organic produce, farmstead cheeses, organic and delicious homemade snacks, food and baked goods. Meet over 140 artisans and food producers who all contribute to Salt Spring's international reputation as a hotbed of world-class artists and organic farmers.
A smaller "Farmers Only" market is open later in the season from June to October. Visitors and locals alike come to connect to the farm fresh food and to meet the growers themselves.

Biking is an ideal way to explore Salt Spring Island offering winding country roads, beautiful scenery and countless destinations within cycling distance. Cycling trips of varying challenge and duration are possible from afternoon excursions to overnight camping.
While it’s true that the roads are narrow making caution and courtesy a must while cycling Salt Spring, the pastoral scenery featuring interspersed artist studios with fields of roaming sheep make the hills worthwhile.
For visitors without wheels, bikes, scooters, cars or kayaks are all available. We are happy to help guide you with these or any other inquiries.
For visitors on wheels who need alternatives to get around while they’re on island, Salt Spring has a transit system allowing travel between ferry terminals and villages with your bike.
Salt spring Island, as part of the Southern Gulf Islands, is a world class kayaking destination. The waters, islands and the many water access only natural parks surrounding Salt Spring are teeming with wildlife, are relatively sheltered with calm waters and receive the best weather on the coast with almost year-round kayaking potential.
